They’ve got some knotweed there. They’ll probably want to manage that in some way.

I like the idea of this, but this just looks bad IMO. It’s so unkept. I’ve seen this somewhere it looks really nice and taken care of. Just my 2 cents.

I’m a fan. For me, I maintain a path I walk on and I don’t enter the rest outside of invasive removal and the like.
I’d recommend putting some focus on insect overwintering locations. Rock piles and log piles would look nice. There are plenty of spots for insects already, but overwintering locations gives them a headquarters.
Maybe some basking rocks for lizards too with a nearby shelter for them to scurry to.
